Kosmos series → Kosmos U/A digital stationary diagnostic X-ray unit
Kosmos U/A unit is a digital stationary diagnostic X-ray device that allows for X-ray and X-ray examinations, images processing, and subsequent storage and transmission of the obtained information. A distinctive feature of the Kosmos U/A devices is the use of a dynamic flat-panel detector as a receiver of an X-ray image, which allows for obtaining high-quality images, performing primary processing, and also sending them to doctors’ workstations or storage locations for X-ray examinations. The dynamic detector also allows for targeted X-ray images or a series of them to be taken during an X-ray examination.
The unit consists of a rotating stand table (1st workstation), a table and stand for images (2nd workstation), an image stand (3rd workstation) and a high-frequency X-ray power supply. Each workstation has a fixed wire detector as an X-ray image receiver. The device includes a doctor’s workstation with a high-quality diagnostic monitor located directly next to the device, allowing viewing of X-ray images directly during the examination.
Kosmos U/A devices allow for fluoroscopic examinations to be performed in both continuous and pulsed fluoroscopy modes. In addition, Kosmos U/A devices allow for standard radiographic examinations to be performed in various patient positions – lying or sitting on the imaging table, or standing, using a vertical imaging stand.
Kosmos U/A devices can be equipped with additional wireless flat-panel detectors with a Wi-Fi interface, allowing for examinations to be performed on the imaging table deck without using the Bukki device. In the absence of a hospital LAN, it is recommended to equip this device with a specialized hardware/software “Medical Diagnostic Station” complex.
